It is self-evident that technological progress has changed our lives to better by making them easier and more comfortable. At the same time there is a number of obvious disadvantages, among which the most negative is our sedentary life. A lot of people sit daily at their laptops and drive their cars. As a rule, their schedule is so tight that they can hardly squeeze going in for sports into it. Consequently, obesity and overweight became burning problems of our developed civilization. A lot of people get diseases associated with overweight and flabby stomachs which make them less attractive. Surely, measures should be taken to eliminate these quickly spreading problems.
First of all, it is necessary to think how to add more physical activity during the day. Stairs will be better choice than elevator for those who work at large business centers. This will provide an opportunity to both burning some extra calories and training the legs. It is reasonable to make short breaks (even five-ten minutes breaks) for exercises. Do basic exercises for your arms, back, and legs at least every two hours and soon you will observe their favorable impact. Refuse from food delivery to your office. Better walk a few blocks for the nearest café. You will provide more motion to your body and let your brain relax a bit during the hard working day.
Even if your working schedule is very tight or you are a mother of two children, it is not an excuse for having a flabby stomach. Try to find time two or three times a week for abdominal training either in a gym or at home. In case you choose the latter option you will save much time since you will not spend it for traffic jams. Think of an hourly routine including intensive cardio and ab exercises. Cardio exercises like jogging or cycling will make you lose extra fat and strengthen your cardiovascular system. Abdominal exercises targeted at both lower and upper part of the midsection will tone up and strengthen your abs and you will get your desired six-packs after fat accumulations are burnt.
Another achievement of civilization that should be avoided is all those convenience foods which aimed to simplify our lives. But actually they make more harm than good. They are high-caloric, contain a lot of saturated fats and conservatives that are harmful to our digestive systems and lead to accumulating fat. That is why it is recommended to turn to more natural products like vegetables, fish, meat, cereals etc. Though they are not so fast in cooking, they are much healthier and allow losing weight without exhausting diets. Moreover, they will provide all necessary vitamins and microelements that are vital for those who train regularly.
